How People Lose Energy Without Knowing It

Channeling energy through eyes
Since I’m white-skinned, I get lots of attention in India. One of the reasons I chose to live in a particular city of South India, is because people pay less attention to me there.
People in that city are busy with work and they have much more entertainment to engage in, which keeps them away from idleness, gossip and elaborate commenting on out-of-ordinary sights (though not entirely).
They still pay attention to me, but in a milder way, than, say, in a village where a foreigner becomes the talk of the day. The thing is, it’s me that benefits from the attention, and the people who talk about me and watch me are the ones that lose out.
When you intently look at someone, you give your energy to them through your eyes. When you flirt with eyes, you transfer the energy to the person of interest, and he or she, bathed in this energy, looks increasingly more attractive. This constant giving of attention is what makes psychopaths look attractive too.
If the exchange is fair, you can be enriched with the energy of a different vibration, be it lower or higher. But how can the exchange be fair in a situation where a pop idol is admired by thousands?
In Towards the Mysteries we read how a girl in the audience was fascinated by the presence channeled through a speaker, and the reply of the channeled high consciousness was this:
Preserve the magnetism which is in your eyes! Do not fling it about!
In Sri Lanka I witnessed some genuine monks who meditate for long hours in a day. They avoid looking into the eyes of humans, but when they do, you feel like you’re stripped naked – their sight is so sharp and they’re so present, that one glance reveals everything about you. I’ve also encountered the magnetism of eyes in this boy, which left me shocked.
It’s true that people can give you an evil eye; if you are spiritually weak and your attention is all invested into the external, you may suffer a lot from a negative intention channeled through one’s eyes. Buying stuff that protects you from such an evil sight helps, but that’s basically your belief that does the trick, and not the item itself.
So the wrong kind of attention can harm if you’re externally-minded. But if you live a pure life, your heart acts like a transformer, and it transforms all the negative energies sent to you into harmonious vibrations.
That’s why spiritual people live and teach by their life; the outcome of trying to harm a spiritual person even in thought quickly bounces back with a huge load of karmas, whilst the spiritual person remains unharmed. That’s why the safest thing to do is to always be centred in God and live a pure life. It’s very well known to Buddhists thatDharma (the pure way of living) is the best protection.
It’s sad for me to see how gurus are worshipped, and how pop idols are adored. The worshipers are projecting their own God-power onto these beings, rather than keeping the power within for it to become magnetic and hugely charge one’s aura. Keeping the energy within manifests such an internal power that when you look at someone, your eyes transfer so much energy that it leaves an indelible effect without you saying a word.
Try to get into the habit of keeping the spiritual eye open always (which is your spiritual perception), and your physical eyes not clingy to anything external, so that you’d preserve your power, and never lose sight of what you really are. Shiva’s countenance symbolizes such an attitude towards the world:
Shiva with eyes half closed
Intoxicated with God, uninterested in the world
Shiva’s eyes are not searching for external sense-pleasures; he’s too intoxicated with inner riches.
Not only Shiva’s eyes are indifferent to the world; look how Mona Lisa’s eyes appear. Are they all about observing the external, or is she so satisfied with her Self, that she has little interest in the external? Her eyes tell that she has the wisdom, and so her attitude to the world is light and playful:
Mona Lisa eyes
So goes with any wise, inward-oriented persons. Nikola Tesla’s eyes were always like this. Sparkling, clear, yet never interested in the external. All his world was within.
People who are outwardly-oriented are insensitive towards their energy expenditure. So such people will scoff at the suggestion that they’re losing energy by unconditionally investing their attention in the external.
It’s very true that we’re losing energy in many other ways – even by breathing. We lose a lot of energy by talking, writing, painting, digesting. The less energy we lose, the more there’s left for the immune system to assure the health of our body, for inner reflection, and for strong will-power.
Apart from losing lots of energy by indiscriminately observing the external phenomena, people also lose a great deal of energy by putting lots of emotion in the talk. That’s huge energy wastage, especially when people complain about something with great emotion added.
The only time where, if you wish, you may choose to add emotion, is when you talk about things you’d like to stay in your life. Placing attention on and getting emotional about things you don’t like to see in your life is what keeps them there.

Conclusion

The next time you catch yourself gazing at someone intently, therefore, whether that person is a pop star or a handsome passer-by, know that by doing that you’re losing your personal magnetism that enriches your being, keeps you immune against illnesses, keeps your willpower strong, and helps you in your spiritual progress.
I’m not telling you to not look at anyone; but have Mona Lisa or Shiva as examples of how to look at the world – from within.
Apart from sight, there are many more habits that cause people to lose energy, and one of the worst ones is enriching complaining or other negative talk with emotion, as that makes the condition talked about more established in one’s life.
If you constantly keep in mind the knowledge that being outwardly-oriented makes you lose your personal power and magnetism, you’ll naturally become more inward-oriented, which will keep your attention on the inner riches, causing you to manifest these inner riches externally too and your inner magnetism to continue expanding.
